Thanksgiving Station

Instructions

A chance to express our gratitude for the good things that 2022 has given us.

On the outside of one set of front doors is a paper mural ready for messages and images of thanksgiving.

Using paint and paintbrush or pen or other art materials, either write something you are grateful for from sometime in the past year or draw it! This can be as simple as a few words or as artistic, colourful and creative as you like.

Let’s fill this mural with our thanksgiving for what God has done for us!

Reflection

Give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.

1 Thessalonians 5:18

It is no secret that regularly practicing thankfulness does wonderful things for our brains and mental health. But for those of us who love God, thanksgiving does even more than that.

When we remember that God is the source of all the goodness in our lives and is the greatest treasure we could ever seek, we put God in his rightful place. Gratitude to God lets us order and prioritise our lives in the best possible way. And it brings us joy!

So, what good things have you experienced this year?

Who are you grateful too?

How has your life changed for the better?

What beauty and goodness can you see around you?
